Book Haul | Ellie Davies

Hey Lovelies!

I have never been a huge book reader, but recently I have really been getting into books, especially in the Summer. There is something amazing about sitting outside while the sun is shinning with a little bit of a breeze passing you and becoming absorbed in another world through reading all the pages of the book. Below I have listed down a few of the books I have purchased, I haven't read any of them yet as I am waiting to read them while on holiday, but as soon as I am done reading them, I will write a review on certain ones if you would like?

Me Before You By Jojo Moyes

Most of you have properly heard this book before as it is a popular book which is now a major film. When I found out about the film and heard there was a book before the film release, I needed to get the book ASAP because I prefer to read the book before watching the film, over wise I don't enjoy the book as much, as I don't get the intentions like I would reading the book first. Me Before You is a romantic novel which is based around love, learning and letting go. I am so exited to read this book as everyone is saying it is such an amazing book!

Blurb

Lou Clark Knows Lots of Things.
She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not lover her boyfriend Patrick.
What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now, and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.
What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about the burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

After You by Jojo Moyes

Again, another book by Jojo Moyes, however this book is the sequel to me before you, so I had to purchase this book, obviously. This book is about Lou Clark (one of the main characters) figuring out all her questions she has. I am exited to read this book as well as me fore you as romantic novels are my favourites. My mum has read both books and she ended up crying as she found the books emotional. Knowing myself, I will properly cry for weeks as I am a huge cry baby.

Blurb

Lou Clark has lots of questions
Like how it is she's ended up working in an airport bar, watching other people jet off to new places. Or why the flat she's owned for a year still doesn't feel like home. Whether her family can ever forgive her for what she did eighteen months ago. And will she ever get over the love of her life. What Lou does know for certain is that something has to change.

Summer Secrets By Jane Green

I know you should never judge a book by its cover, but this cover is perfect and yells summer. I cant wait to take this book to Greece with me and chill on the beach reading it. Summer Secrets is by a number one bestselling author, Jane Green. The book is a  gripping tale of recovery and redemption. Again, I have heard that this book is emotional but also great at the same time. I would love to write a review on this particular book, if you would like to read the review, make sure to comment below!

Blurb

June, 1998. At twenty-seven, Cat Coombs is struggling. She lives in London, works as a journalist, and parties hard. When she discovers the identity of the father she never knew she had, it sends her into a spiral. She makes mistakes that cost her the budding friendship of the only women who have ever welcomed her. And nothing is ever the same after that. June, 2014. Cat's life has come full circle. She wants to make amends to those she has hurt. Her quest takes her to Nantucket, the gorgeous New England island where the women she once called family still live. What Cat doesn't realize is that these women, her real father's daughters, have secrets of their own. As the past collides with the present, Cat must confront the darkest things in her own life and uncover the depths of someone's need for revenge.

I have been sat here for at least two hours trying to decided what post I should write as my first post on my blog. I started writing up makeup reviews and routine posts until I thought why not write a post about my blog and myself for you guys too get to know me a little better and also get to know what to expect from my blog.

Welcome to Strawberry Blonde!

My name is Ellie Davies, I am seventeen years old from Wales and I am a new lifestyle blogger! I am hoping to be posting many different types of posts such as reviews, my monthly favourites, reviews on my favourite beauty products and also some fashion posts. I decided to start a blog because I have been getting bored and lonely at home as I do not go out often, and I thought starting my own blog would be something fun to do! The name of my blog 'Strawberry Blonde' comes from my hair colour because I am unique and amazing at choosing names boring.

I am aiming to publish two posts a week, however I can not promise this as I am currently doing my A levels, which can be very stressful with exams and coursework, but two posts a week is going to be my aim! I have just joined Twitter, make sure to go over there and follow me so we can become blogger friends! I'd love to get to know other bloggers!

So that's all I have to say really, just a little quick introduction! I hope to see you guys soon! Make sure to follow me on Twitter by click here!♡
